The purposes of this Chapter shall be to defend and promote academic freedom, tenure, due process, and shared governance; to protect and advance the professional and economic interests of academic professionals; to promote the standards, ideals, usefulness, and welfare of the profession; and to facilitate the purposes, objectives, and programs of the state-wide California Faculty Association at the local level.
