The 2007-2010 edition of the Lecturers' Handbook comes to you through the efforts of your California Faculty Association lecturer colleagues. It gives give you an overview of your rights as a lecturer faculty member in the California State University system, plus specific information on how to exercise and defend those rights.
This handbook does not contain the entire Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the CFA and the CSU, but it does reference relevant provisions to provide authoritative information about a wide variety of situations. The handbook also provides the results of some key grievance decisions, benefits provisions determined by statutes and by other agencies and other rules and practices that structure our work environment.
