On October 7, 2010, 200 faculty, staff, and students at Cal State East Bay marched on the new Student Services and Administration building.

Members of the California Faculty Association (CFA), California State University Employees Union (CSUEU), Academic Professionals of California (APC), and Students for Quality Education (SQE) united in a show of solidarity to defend public higher education.
