In January CFA Lecturer Representatives from each of the 23 CSU campuses met in Sacramento. At this meeting, all of the Lecturers signed commitment cards pledging a "yes" vote on the strike authorization vote. The Lecturers also unanimously passed a resolution in support of a "yes" vote.
Lecturers, with their temporary appointments, may be the most vulnerable members of our bargaining unit, but they knew how much was at stake in the contract fight and they took a stand for what's fair for Lecturers, for students, and for the mission of the CSU.
