CFA Chapter Presidents' Council

The Chapter Presidents' Council is composed of the 23 CFA chapter presidents.

The Presidents' Council meets regularly to discuss local issues and implement CFA's statewide plans.

David Bradfield

David Bradfield began teaching at CSU Dominguez Hills in 1982 and is a Professor of Music & Digital Media Arts. He is in charge on the Music Technology Program and the computer music facilities.

He received his Master of Music-Composition from North Texas State University with additional studies in computer music at Stanford and Colgate Universities.

Bradfield is very involved in the labor movement and in addition to holding the Associate Vice President position on the Board of Directors is the campus chapter president.

Andy Merrifield

Andy Merrifield

Andy Merrifield has been a member of the political science department at Sonoma State for twenty-five years.

Merrifield serves as Associate Vice President, North, of the California Faculty Association.

His areas of speciality are the American presidency, budgetary politics, state and local government and political methodology.

Merrifield joined CFA soon after joining the faculty. Before teaching at Sonoma he was active in SEIU and CTA, the former in local government and thelatter at a community college. He also worked as the sole staff member for an independent union in local government.

At Sonoma Merrifield served as the PAC/Leg person on the executive board, then chapter vice president; he is now in his fourthterm as chapter president. He currently serves on the CFA bargaining committee.
