The Council for Racial and Social Justice invites you to a workshop full of challenging material, in-depth conversations and group dialogues about individual, group and societal privileges. An interactive workshop where we will delve into: defining our privileges, how privilege works, recognizing privilege, dismantling oppression. Register for this workshop by clicking here.

WHEN: Friday March 24, 1:00-3:30pm

WHERE: Zoom (link provided upon registration)

Join your faculty and staff colleagues for a CFA-sponsored workshop about “Understanding Privilege.”   In this 2.5-hour interactive workshop we reflect on several types of privileges as societally granted, unearned advantages that are systemic or structural. Through exercises and discussions, we uncover many faces of privilege (race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic levels, ableism, immigration, etc.), how they work, and why they perpetuate oppression. Together we brainstorm ways to dismantle systems of domination and oppression.

CFA will provide a $25 Grubhub credit for attendees.  GrubHub cards will be sent to registrants once they arrive at the workshop ready to participate!

*Workshop subject to cancellation if we do not receive sufficient RSVPs.
