CFA VP Kim Geron honored with CTA Pacific Asian American Human Rights Award

CFA’s statewide Vice President Kim Geron is the 2017 recipient of the California Teachers Association’s Pacific Asian American Human Rights Award.

CTA Vice President Theresa Montaño, who is a faculty member at CSU Northridge said, “I have known Kim for decades and have known him to be always caring and social justice minded. He doesn’t do it for recognition; he does it because it’s the right thing to do. I admire him.”

Susan Green, a CTA Board-member for Higher Education, and CFA Treasurer added, “It is wonderful to see a leader like Kim recognized by his colleagues as a scholar, teacher and activist. His work on behalf of his students and immigrant and working  families is an inspiration to everyone who knows him. Congratulations Kim!”

Geron will be honored at the CTA Equity and Human Rights Conference lunch on Saturday March 4 in San Jose. Email CTA for more information.
