Long Beach faculty pepper Chancellor White with questions during campus visit

Innovation at Cal State Long Beach may have been the intended focus of Chancellor Tim White’s visit to the campus last week, but red-clad CFA members questioned him about lack of faculty raises, tuition affordability, money spent on administration, and the $100 million additional state funding the CSU was allocated in Gov. Jerry Brown’s budget.

About 50 faculty and dozens of students attended the one-hour forum, which was covered in an article by the Long Beach Press Telegram.

The next campus visit is scheduled for Jan. 29 at CSU Northridge.

White’s visit to Cal State LA on Jan. 19 also drew a crowd of faculty, students and staff. The chancellor left that forum amidst faculty chanting “Strike! Strike! Strike!” Click here to watch coverage of that forum.
