PBS NewsHour series on higher ed examines MOOCs, features CFA leader

On Monday, PBS NewsHour began a weeklong series on “Rethinking College,” which each day investigates new approaches to making college more accessible and affordable.

Tonight, CFA President Lil Taiz, representing the Campaign for the Future of Higher Education, is featured in a piece on MOOCs and blended learning. The report looks at “the future of online technology for colleges & universities. Can they replace, or even supplement, in-person learning?”

The series also is complemented by a set of online features, including additional reporting from the PBS NewsHour Education team, dispatches from the Hechinger Report (http://hechingerreport.org) and Twitter chats from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday-Thursday, where viewers can join in at #NewsHourChats.
