Trustees ratify new faculty contract

The California State University Board of Trustees ratified the collective bargaining agreement with the California Faculty Association at their September 18-19 meeting.

CFA members voted to accept the agreement late last month. On September 4, CFA announced that 91% voted in favor.

The votes end nearly two years of often contentious negotiations between the two sides.

Kevin Wehr, Chair of CFA’s Representation Committee, said, “This agreement allows the CSU community to focus its attention on critical matters related to increasing revenue to the state and to the California State University. Passage of Proposition 30 is at the top of that agenda.”
