Faculty and students urged lawmakers to stand up for the future of the state and reinvest in the California State University during an Assembly budget hearing on education finance at the Capitol on Tuesday.


Pivotal anti-union Supreme Court case steeped in racist origins

Most faculty realize that unions are a pathway to greater prosperity and rights for working people. We may not realize that the hard fought battle for the right to organize and bargain contracts in the U.S. is entwined with the long battle for civil rights.


Stand with CFA, show your union pride!

Campuses throughout the CSU will be ablaze with union pride next week as CFA chapters hold events and connect with peers to promote union membership and awareness of a Supreme Court case threatening to erode the public sector and organized Labor.


Faculty Rights Tip of the Week: Writing rebuttals to evaluations

By now many campuses are well into their evaluation cycles.

The Faculty Contract provision below applies to all faculty undergoing any form of evaluation, but it is especially timely for probationary faculty applying for tenure or any faculty member up for promotion.
