CFA members from all 23 CSU campuses converged in Sacramento last week for a series of leadership meetings and the 2020 Spring Leadership Kickoff event. 


CSU Trustees Move Forward with Quantitative Reasoning Requirement, Add Independent Analysis

After months of discussion and dissection, the CSU Board of Trustees voted to move forward on a plan to require a fourth year of quantitative reasoning for admission.


ACTION ALERT: Tell Senators to Vote YES on AB 1460/Ethnic Studies

It’s time to type up that email and pick up the phone to urge State Senators to vote yes on Assembly Bill 1460.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE CO-LIBERATION QUILT: Members are encouraged to submit a quilt panel for inclusion in CFA’s Equity Conference Co-Liberation Quilt: A Monument for Healing and Renewal.

As we continue to expand efforts uniting for racial and social justice as a union, we invite artists and other creative folks from all 23 campuses to contribute a quilt panel as part of an artistic centerpiece to be installed at the 2020 Equity Conference. 


Faculty Rights Tip: Lecturers on Approved Leave Without Pay Maintain Their Entitlement Rights

At times, Lecturers need to take a leave of absence for a term or for a year for medical reasons, to care for a new child, or to pursue a short-term employment  opportunity. In this situation, Lecturer faculty may worry that they’ll lose their rights to future employment or to a three-year contract if they take time off from teaching.
