HIGHER ED LEADERS LAUNCH CENSUS 2020 CAMPAIGN TO TARGET COLLEGE STUDENTS: CSU, UC and California community colleges are co-launching an effort to get college students to participate in the 2020 Census. 

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, leaders at the three California higher education systems are opening a $1.5 million census campaign to “fund a variety of outreach activities to ensure students take the survey.”

Faculty Rights Tip: Intellectual Property Rights and Online Course Materials

With campuses taking emergency steps in response to COVID-19, many faculty members are being asked to make plans for teaching online, “virtually,” or though self-directed study. Taking on this work may not always be possible, but when it is, some faculty are concerned about their Intellectual Property rights as they share their work electronically and in online, electronic platforms.
