Faculty contract remains unsettled

The California Faculty Association and CSU management met again last week to negotiate our contract, but after two days of bargaining in Sacramento, we remain at odds over how to reach a settlement.

CFA’s Officers and Bargaining Team members will be at several campuses in the coming days and weeks to update faculty on the ongoing contract talks.


Mon. Sept 29 is final deadline for your CalPERS election ballot to arrive; Vote Theresa Taylor!

Faculty Rights ‘Tip of the Week’: Weingarten Rights

Have you ever been called in to a meeting with a campus administrator and, once in that meeting, realized that they were conducting an investigation or asking questions that could result in discipline or affect your personal working conditions?

You are entitled to CFA representation in such a meeting and have certain rights, known as Weingarten Rights. You should invoke those rights immediately by saying,
