CFA Bargaining – Faculty Raises

From 2015-2020, CSU faculty salaries continued to track upward thanks to our hard work at the bargaining table. 

Fight for Five 

The improvements to faculty salaries began as a result of our Fight for Five campaign, which resulted in a 10.5% General Salary Increase for ALL Unit 3 Faculty. Those increases are as follows:

  • 5% on June 30, 2016
  • 2% on July 1, 2016
  • 3.5% on July 1, 2017

We also won Service Salary Increases for all ELIGIBLE faculty. Those eligible received a 2.65% SSI effective on employment anniversary date.

Minimum raise at promotion also increased to 9% (up from 7.5%)

The agreement also added a 5% range elevation eligibility for long-term Lecturers and Librarians.

Contract Extension

As part of a contract extension with CSU management, CFA also secured General Salary Increases for ALL Unit 3 Faculty for 2018/19 and 2019/20.

Those increases include: 

  • 3.5% on November 1, 2018
  • 2.5% on July 1, 2019
