Romelia Salinas

Romelia Salinas is a Librarian at California State University Los Angeles (CSULA). She currently serves as the Head of Access Services for the University Library and as a reference and instruction librarian.

Salinas received a dual bachelor’s degree in Law & Society and Chicano Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and a master’s and doctorate degree in Library & Information Science from UCLA. Her research interests include barriers to digital information, the information seeking behavior of university students, and information services to the Latino community.

Dr. Salinas has been at CSULA since 1999; has served as the Librarian representative to the CFA Los Angeles Executive Board in past years; and currently serves as a member of the CFA Faculty Rights Committee at CSULA.
