Sacramento State

To mark Campus Equity Week, the CFA chapter at Sacramento sent a letter to campus President Gonzalez asking him to create a new campus equity program.

For the campus, the CFA Sacramento chapter held a series of forums and workshops on different issues of equity. On Wednesday, we had a discussion about how to deal with discrimination and harassment on campus.

On Thursday, Assemblymember Richard Pan joined a lively and topical discussion on challenging borders to higher education.  On Friday, the CFA Lecturer’s council sponsored a forum in which faculty members and students shared their stories of equity.

We had a great discussion about online education, lecturer equity, and the challenges of being a first generation college student.  Assemblymember Roger Dickinson joined us for the forum.  More details can be found on our CFA Sacramento chapter web page.
