Capitol Chapter Formally Requests Equity from Gonzalez

After 5 years of delayed step increases, issues of salary inversion and compression have become prevalent at CSU Sacramento.  Many faculty members are complaining that their junior colleagues are earning larger salaries than their more senior colleagues.  While Equity Year II helped to address parts of the problem, issues of salary inversion still remain.

As part of equity week, Capitol Chapter President Kevin Wehr made a formal request to President Gonzalez asking him to begin a new equity program.  Articles 31.10-31.15 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement allow the Campus President to begin a new equity program.  CFA would need to be consulted over the details of that program to insure that it was a fair process.
