Defining, Measuring, and Compensating Workload
April 16, 2014

On April 16, 2014, faculty from across the San Bernardino campus attended the CFA San Bernardino Chapter’s 100 Day Countdown Event – “Defining, Measuring, and Compensating Workload.”  At the event, faculty broke into three groups to discuss workload issues in teaching, research, and service.  Each breakout group was tasked with identifying workload issues specific to their area (teaching, research, and service), sharing personal examples related to their department/discipline, and coming up with potential solutions to these workload issues, contractual or otherwise.

Chapter President Marcia Marx also gave a general report about bargaining with the CSU, the state budget, and the San Bernardino Chapter’s ongoing efforts to address salary inequities on campus.
