License Fee Reimbursement

The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) allows for campuses to reimburse Counselors for the costs of maintaining licenses.  25.5 of the CBA states,

“With the prior approval of the President, Counselor Faculty Unit Employees who are required to maintain a license or credential as a condition of employment, shall be reimbursed for all normal and customary credential or licensing fees consistent with program needs. Any denial shall include a written explanation.”

If you haven’t already done so, CFA recommends requesting to have license fees reimbursed.  A generic way to do so is to send an email like the following:

Dear ___,

pursuant to 15.5 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, I am requesting to be reimbursed for my license.  Please let me know what documentation you need.
