CFA Elections Call for Nominations Fall 2023

Elections for statewide positions will be voted on during CFA’s Fall Assembly this month.

American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Representative South:

AAUP Regional Rep serves on the CA-AAUP Steering Committee and participates in the AAUP Collective Bargaining Congress Meetings.

One member will be elected for a two-year term (2023 – 2025).

Elections Committee:  Committee members are responsible for executing Statewide elections (2x per year during Assembly sessions). They are also responsible for the development of CFA Nomination/Election procedures.

Five members of the Assembly will be elected to the CFA Elections Committee for Fall 2023-Fall 2025. Terms begin with the close of the 2023 Fall Assembly.  The Chair will be selected by the President from among the five elected.

Candidates may declare at this time, or they may wait until nominations are taken from the CFA Assembly floor. Nominations for these positions will close during the first session at CFA’s 2023 Fall Assembly. CFA members need not be members of the CFA Assembly to run for office or to nominate an individual. Individuals nominated by a second party must submit a written acceptance to the Elections Committee.
