CFA Files PERB Charge Over CSU’s Failure to Bargain in Good Faith
CFA has filed an unfair labor practice charge against CSU management for violating state labor law by refusing to bargain in good faith with faculty. The charge, filed with California’s Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), comes in response to management’s repeated failure to provide timely information and engage meaningfully at the bargaining table.
This pattern of delay and obstruction undermines the collective bargaining process and disrespects the essential role of faculty in shaping the future of the CSU. Faculty deserve a partner at the table that listens, shares necessary information, and negotiates in good faith—not one that stonewalls progress.
A final version of the charge will be posted when it is available. In the meantime, faculty can stay up to date by checking the All Faculty Bargaining Updates.
