CFA members express our unwavering support for our union siblings and writers of the Writers Guild of America, currently striking for fair and equitable pay, working conditions, and job security, as well as anti-harassment and anti-discrimination measures and industry regulation of AI-generated material.

Billion-dollar studios, streamers, and entertainment-centric corporations must remove roadblocks and pay their fair and equitable share of profits, residuals, and weekly pay to writers for their scripts and ideas. The entertainment industry must also address the abuses of smaller script rooms, which disproportionately affect Black, Latinx, and LGBTQIA+ writers.

To learn more about the writers’ strike, watch this short video. Find ways to help on the WGA Strike website. If you live in Los Angeles, you can support our union sibling on the strike line
