Mia Bonta Wins Assembly Seat in Preliminary Returns
We congratulate CFA-endorsed candidate Mia Bonta on her election as Assemblymember representing District 18 in the Bay Area. Preliminary results show Bonta with a significant lead of 54.9 percent. Final results will be certified next week.
A hearty thank you to our CFA East Bay activists who worked so hard to get out the vote. We note also that only 695 people (0.7 percent of ballots cast) voted in person. California is rapidly becoming a vote-by-mail state.
