Pro-Worker Candidates Elected to CalPERS Board!
CFA-endorsed candidates David Miller and Jose Luis Pacheco won election to the California Public Employees’ Retirement System Board, according to preliminary results.
Miller received 73 percent of the vote, and Pacheco 62 percent for their respective at-large seats.
CFA joined SEIU locals, firefighters, teachers, and healthcare workers in endorsing Miller and Pacheco to protect members’ hard-earned retirement savings and the healthcare benefits CalPERS members and their families count on. Miller and Pacheco will serve four-year terms beginning January 16.
