Dear Unit 3 Faculty,

We continue to bargain for REAL change for ALL Unit 3 members. Our current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) has once again been extended – meaning it doesn’t expire until June 1, 2026. 

In the meantime, Chancellor Millie Garcia (or “Millie Antoinette” as we’re calling her) has been offering crumbs in the form of a one-time taxable 3% bonus. We aren’t falling for it! 

We continue to be fed austerity narratives, but the money exists for admin raises, AI contracts, billboards, and stadiums.

We demand a minimum salary of $79,500 for all faculty, a cost of living adjustment + 2% each year so that we can stay ahead of inflation, and step increases across the board, because that’s what we deserve. We know our worth. We demand real raises that don’t disappear after a year! 

We demand better workplace conditions: improved family leave policies, greater protections for academic freedom and marginalized faculty, and defined workloads.
