June Primary Election Ballots Drop Next Week. Pledge to Vote for CFA-Endorsed Candidates!
Voting for the June 2026 Primary Election begins as early as next week.
County elections officials will start mailing ballots by Monday, May 4, according to the Secretary of State’s Office. Pledge to vote for our CFA-endorsed candidates today.
We selected priority races for the Primary Election based on where there is an anti-labor threat, a unified labor coalition, and/or the opportunity to make the general election uncompetitive. The decisions made in the 2026 Primary and General Elections will affect political conditions for faculty, students, and our communities for years to come.
Here are our priority races:
- California Constitutional Offices
- Xavier Becerra and Tony Thurmond for Governor
- Michael Tubbs for Lieutenant Governor
- Jane Kim for Insurance Commissioner
- State Assembly
- Jackie Elward for District 12
- Oscar Ortiz for District 36
- Leila Namvar for District 47
- Sara Deen for District 66
- Fatima Iqbal-Zubair for District 65
- State Senate
- John Erickson for District 24
- Congress
- Mike McGuire for District 1
- Dr. Richard Pan for District 6
- Dr. Jasmeet Bains for District 22
- Marni Von Wilpert for District 48
Make a plan to vote and remember to remind your fellow CFA members, students, family, friends, and community members to vote, too. Ask your chapter leadership how you can get involved in CFA Political Action shifts to get out the vote.
You can pledge to vote for our CFA-endorsed candidates now.
