ICYMI: Your Sacramento Chapter CFA has been active over the summer. In this post, we wanted to cover what we have been up to. We highlight summer wins, our collective fight ahead, and some ways to build out our strength as a union…that means you, and it’s easier than you think!

Over the summer, we had a big win for Unit 3! As you probably know, we have been in a budget battle that resulted in a notice of potential layoffs from the Chancellor’s Office.

The Lila Jacobs Social Justice & Organizing Award was established at your Capital Chapter to honor a CFA activist on our campus that exemplified the values and principles of equity, rights, and justice to which Lila Jacobs dedicated her life. Nominate a CFA member who you believe best embodies these qualities! Please submit nomination forms by August 29, 2025.
